Q1. We have two planes flying, one is flying from New York to Paris at 500m/h and the other one is flying from Paris to New York at 550m/h. When the two planes cross paths/meet, which plane will be closer to Paris? Q2. A man is trying to commit suicide, so he ties himself to a rope on the ceiling of a room with no windows or doors. A huge crack on the ceiling however is causing the room to flood. How will the man die?
Wouldn't the man just die with the room flooding?
Q1 neither is closer because they meet
Let's hear from other people. I'll let you know once they respond.
Q2..there is no chair so he cant die of hanging..so he'll dron
drown*
How did this man get into a room that has no windows or doors?
through the crack of course *facepalm*
It's a hypothetical situation.
so...any of my answers sound right? just tell me coz i gtg :p
plane flying 500 m/h?!!! he wont even take off
@Kryten miles/hour not meters
lol that's a very slow plane if it was meters =))
@lgbasallote you got question one correct :)
for Q2 if there is a drainage somewhere then the man will die of hanging if he uses the water to put himself near the ceiling
then tie the rope...then when the water drains..he die
the crack is on the ceiling though, so the water won't drain
exactly why if lol
he cannot die of hanging because there is no object to step on
He dies from starvation.
so he should die of drown
Hint: how long can you hold your breath for?
around 5 minutes
Remember, there are no windows or doors.
so why is drowning wrong??
12 minutes before death.
"he ties himself to a rope on the ceiling of a room" so we can assume that there is rope tied to the ceiling so he can hang gimself
But the room could be a little higher than the persons height, which would mean he could tie himself to the rope without needing a chair or some object to lift him up
but how would he put the rope to the ceiling
could, would, should...
He will suffocate to death before he can even finish tying the rope. Good day people!
he cant even hang himself
From the wording of the question we can assume that the rope is already tied to the ceiling.
but did you read what it says: he ties himself to a rope on the ceiling of a room
think about it...if he can reach the ceiling...then how is he supposed to die?!!
to die of hanging you the distance between floor and ceiling must be greater than height of person plus arm elngth
If his hands can reach the ceiling, that doesn't mean his head can.
there is no door and windows, so he will die due to suffocation.
^ There is a huge crack in the ceiling allowing for air.
but if the person can reach the ceiling then the rope is long enough to just connect his head to the ceiling without elevation
this question is to loopholed :p
@pathosdebater the crack is letting in water, barely any air
like i said he cant even hang himself
try it at your homes if you can die of hanging when you can reach the ceiling
then tell me in the morning
a nightly visit is most preferred
it's least creepy
ok im out
why wouldnt he be able to hang himself?! how prisoners can tie a piece of cloth to the radiator or a bed or window bar and just drop down...
The room could be small enough where the person could hold himself up from pushing with his legs against the side walls. That would hold him up off the ground.
well then tell me how did he come in the room and then what are dimensions of the room, of the rope, of the crack from which is water coming in and height of the man!!!
lol It's a hypothetical situation lad. But I'm sure we could all agree there are countless ways of dying in such as situation?
no there arent countless situations, there must be definite number of ways, maybe large number but still definite
such a*
The room could be 4 ft wide and 30 ft high. He could then die by pushing himself up against the side walls and then dropping down and smashing his head.
