true or false, Protozoans are heterotrophs which lack a cell wall.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

false

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why do you think that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually, the answer is TRUE; protozoans are heterotrophic and they lack a cell wall. Heterotrophic means that the cell needs to consume energy that comes from the outside. For example, we humans are heterotrophs because our energy comes from outside sources - otherwise known as FOOD. And furthermore, the only cells that have walls are plant cells. I hope this helped you. :D

Also, for future reference (because it may come up if it hasn't already), the opposite of heterotrophic is autotrophic - that means that the organism makes its own energy.
