Ok, this is what I would suggest, try and sketch the graphs by picking random x and y points for each graph. For y=kx, k is a constant such as 1,2,3 and so on, so if k=1 then y=x. Now let's pick our random points and then plot them.

Notice this forms a graph that looks like this

Our second graph is an exponential graph because it's 2^f(x) in this case f(x) is x
