I NEED HELP WITH THESE QUESTIONS :) Identify several social issues that were addressed in the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. Write a paragraph explaining how the author addressed these issues.

Here's a start: racism (against Tom Robinson, who is innocent of the rape of a white woman, Mayella Ewell), misconceptions about and social ostracization of those who are "different" (Boo Radley), home vs. public school education (Atticus Finch's effectiveness vs. those of schoolteacher Miss Caroline), gender bias (criticism of Scout for her "tomboy" ways)

ok so how did he fix these issues?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The author is a woman with the unisex name of Harper Lee. She doesn't "fix" these issues so much as offer commentary on human nature through the presentation of these controversial subjects and her various characters' reactions to them.
