Find the area of a parallelogram with a base of 13 units and a height of 24 units A) 312 units² B) 156 units² C) 312 units D) 156 units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's C. Not sure though..

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

it's just base x height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Idid 13x24 & got 312

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

C is therefore right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that how you do it?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

yup that applies to all parallelograms (i.e. rectangle, rhombus, square etc.) as long as the two bases are equal

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

hmm actually definition of parallelogram is two parallel and congruent sides so that formula appliesto all PARALLELOGRAMs
