Question

A very high level user is cheating the system. I need an admin to talk to. Please listen to my request as it is unfair play in my opinion.
The problem is related to Smartscore issues.

and btw..it would be suggested to just report abuse or DM some mods instead of publicly announcing it here...we've all learned from the issues these things create eh?

i believe so..yes...if they disrupted balance in openstudy..mods and admins are not afraid to take action..bah, imran and pippa were influential users but they did something bad and they got 1 day ip bans..and rules were changed because of their mischief :S

So, I've started to wonder a little bit over the past few months whether or not our moderation team has a little bit of a public relations problem or if this is just the natural community reaction to moderation being made more consistent. Also, we're dealing with younger users on average compared to most other sites, so that's a consideration.

For the record, Imran was never ipbanned. When he came back after being suspended, I DM'd him and he stayed off the site for the rest of his suspension as requested. He's currently not on the site because he asked us to suspend his account because he was spending too much time on here and needed a break.

I'll amend my previous statement by saying imran was never ipbanned since I've been around. I don't know if he ever was before I started working for OpenStudy.

There are records of suspensions. IPBans happen at a network level, so those aren't logged anywhere.
