work out the exterior angle of a regular hexagon
First you need to find the value of the whole thing. You know the formulerrr?
is it just 360/6 or is it something like n-2*180?
Yupp! it's (n-2)180 Then you take your answer and divide it by 6 to get the value of the interior angles. Then you can take the value of an interior angle & subtract it from 180 to get the value of an exterior angle! :D
right so... (6-2)180...=4x180...=720...=total of interior angles? 720/6=80 so interior angles are 80 180-80=100 so exterior angles = 100
720 divided by 6 isn't 80! Try again :p
oh... sorry its 120 :L haha thanks though!
You're welcome! :D
sum of exterior angles of any regular polygon is 360. to find the value of an exterior angle divide 360 by number of sides.
Oh, apparently there's an easier way u_u
nahh... that will just confuse me even more!! :L
when u r askd to find the value of an interior angle use (n-2)180/n and when u r askd to find the value of an exterior angle use 360/n.
*whenever
arite! i get it, cheers. that summary has made it easier =)
