A triangle has side lengths of 7, 24, and 26. Is the triangle right, acute, or obtuse? A) Right B) Acute C) Obtuse

Parth (parthkohli):

In a right triangle: \( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow a^2 + b^2 = c^2 }\) In an acute triangle: \( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow a^2 + b^2 > c^2 }\) In an obtuse triangle: \( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow a^2 + b^2 <c^2 }\)

Parth (parthkohli):

Note that in a right triangle, c has to be strictly the longest side.

Parth (parthkohli):

Whereas, in the other two, you may assume any three sides as a,b and c, regardless of order.
