What is an easier way to explain long division with algebraic expressions???

OpenStudy (shayaan_mustafa):

Hi joshi711 :) In order to avoid from long division you can do synthetic division. It gives same result as long division and much much easier than long polynomial division and much shorter than that.

Synthetic division doesn't work for all polynomial expressions. If you mean dividing one polynomial by another, it is best to explain the same as long division of numerical values. In case you mean to explain long division of numerical values using algebraic expressions, then that is more interesting.

Oh yes CliffSedge you are probably right.
