What's the exact value of sin^-1 (cos pi/2)?

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

well, what's the value of cos(pi/2)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope, just pretty much arcsin(cos pi/2) or sin^-1 (cos pi/2)

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

yeah i know that, but you need to know the value of argument of arcsin to find it out right? cos(pi/2)=0 so, you're basically being asked arcsin(0). Now what's that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Isn't arcsin(0) just 0?

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

yup!!

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

there, you have your answer!
