You are en ecologist studying the life history of a newly discovered animal. You find that it reproduces slowly and has only one offspring each time it reproduces. What reproductive strategy does this organism use?

OpenStudy (rogue):

Wrong section, it belongs in bio. However, this organism's life strategy is k-select. K-select organism do not reproduce very much, in contrast to r-select organisms. They have few offspring that require a great deal of nurturing. There is a higher survival rate for the offspring. Examples of k-select organisms include mammals, like humans.

OpenStudy (rogue):

k-select organisms often have type I survivorship curves.

OpenStudy (rogue):

Oops, this is the bio section :3
