Question

I listened to the entire lecture 1 and then looked at the problem set 1. Embarrassed to say I have no idea where to start. Is there an intermediate step or a solution to look at so that I may backward engineer what to do? I have zero experience here but trying to just get going.

are you doing course 6.00 scholar? because that one has answers to the problems and videos of recitations.

Hi. If you are going through the 2011 version then I encourage you to study lessons 2 and 3 before taking a shot with Problem Set 1. Notice that Problem Set 1 is due at the beginning of Lesson 4. I would only get the solutions after checking out those lessons.
