How is environmental science helpful to conservation biology?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Environmental science allows conservation biologists to understand the biotic (living chemical and physical factors) and abiotic factors (are non-living chemical and physical factors) that change the environment and the living things dependent upon it. This information allows them to develop cures/inventions/solutions to problems in the environment; which conserves and protects it from further harm from that problem. An example would be the development of biodegradable (capable of decaying through the action of living organisms) Sunchip bags; this protects the environment from littering/pollution from the previously plastic, toxic bags. Hope this helped! :)
