linear programming :P

how should i start?

@apoorvk @alexbmx4life @sasogeek @ParthKohli

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Well, no. of pens sold = x Therefore, no. of pencils sold = 9 less than the no. of pens = x-9 Now income from selling pencils = 3(x-9) and income from pens = 5(x) so total income = 3(x-9) + 5x. this much okay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cant we do it for pen, i mean 9 more than 5x?

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

nada. 'x' is the no. of pens sold, according to the question. If they hadn't said anything about this, you could have assumed any one. But since they already have, you have no choice.
