64/16 = 4 so, since 64 is divisible by 16, the greatest common factor for both of them must be 16
16 is the gcf because it goes into 16 once and 64 4 times. so the answer is 16
The divisor of 16 are 1,2,4,8 and 16 and the divisor of 64 are 1,2,4,8,16,32 and 64 as you see 16 is the last common number on both 16 and 64 therefore 16 is the GCF
