a) helper t cells http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HIV hiv is a retrovirus i.e. they are RNA virus that use reverse transcriptase to duplicate. Reverse transcriptase will 'reverse transcribe' RNA into DNA and this DNA will be integrated into host DNA so that these DNA will be transcribed into RNA. Therefore, more HIV's RNA is made and more HIV can be reassemble and spread again. HIV target CD4 glycoprotein which are expressed by CD4 T cell (a.k.a. helper T cell), macrophage and dendritic cells.
