x+2|x−2|<5 solve the inequality?

OpenStudy (mathmagician):

you have two equations: x+2(x-2)<5 and x+2(x-x)<5. First equation gives the answer x<3 an second x>-1. So the answer is \[\in(-1;3)\]

OpenStudy (mathmagician):
