they are typed in italics and first letter is always capital and when hand written it is written in underlined form and giving space between genera and species and  and these language are dead as mostly words are latin and greek

yeah, heena is correct and i would add saying that the specie name is never capitalized example Canis lipus not Canis Lipus and also that if same species are listed with the same genera then they are written in this way E.coli i.e actually for Escericia coli!
