Biotechnology has allowed us to genetically modify corn with a gene that acts as a pesticide. What could be a possible environmental impact of this development? -Insects resistant to the specific pesticide would develop over time. -The surplus of corn would rot and decay releasing additional greenhouse gases. -The price of corn would drop dramatically because of a greater supply with no increase in demand -Countries able to buy the new corn seeds would see increases in their economy and pollution would rise.
