Is 98 a perfect square? I am so confused about what exactly a perfect square is. Can someone please at least tell me what a perfect square is? thanks!!

its about squares like 9 multiplied by 9 equals to 81
so this is a perfect square

and 98 is not a perfect square

as 9*9= 81
10*10=100
so there is no 98 in between therefore it is not a perfect square. in general squares of 1,2,3,4...........................n. are perfect squares.
