A concert hall earned $40,000 in sold−out comedy ticket sales. Front section tickets cost $150 per seat and back section tickets cost $50 per seat. The number of front section seats is three times the number of back section seats. How many seats are in the front section?

40,000 divided by 500 = 80 80 x 450 = 36000 80 x 50 = 4000 36000 divided by 150 = 240 4000 divided by 50 = 80 There are 240 seats in the front section.
