Supply the missing number or term to make a perfect square trinomial. y2 + 8y + ______

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(y+b)^{2}=y ^{2}+2yb+b ^{2}\] from here you can see that 2yb=8y, so b=4. And b^2=16 so y^2+8y+16
