Are polynomial expressions closed under addition? Explain.
I think Calcmathlete has misunderstood the question the set of polynomials is closed under addition because the result of adding any two polynomials is another polynomial try it yourself with any random pair of polynomials; is not the result of adding them also a polynomial?
Oh. Sorry. I think I did misunderstand the question sorry.
\[p(x)=a_1x^n+a_2x^{n-1}+...+a_{n-1}x+a_n\]\[q(x)=b_1x^m+b_2x^{m-1}+...+b_{m-1}x+b_m\]no matter the powers of m and n the result of adding these generalized polynomials is another polynomial, so the set of polynomials is closed under addition.
The radioactive substance strontium-90 has a half-life of 28 years. In other words, it takes 28 years for half of a given quantity of strontium-90 to decay to a non-radioactive substance. The amount of radioactive strontium-90 still present after t years is modeled by the expression grams. Evaluate the expression for t = 0, t = 28 and t = 56. What does each value of the expression represent?
could u guys help me to answer this question
please post each question separately thanks
