do i have this right? the question is: . State the degree of the given polynomial: 3x^4 – 4x^2 + 7x – 1 my answer would be => 4 is that correct if not please let me know why.

THe degree is indeed 4 because the degree is the highest exponent on variables. For instance, 5x + 2x^4 - 8 - 9x^6 + 5x^5, the degree would still be 6
