Who won world war 1 & 2 ?

In general with both wars, the Allied side won which was made up of many nations because of the nature of the conflicts. There really wasn't just one winner, only one side that proved victorious.

In the first World War, it was the Allies against the Central Powers. In WW2, it was the Allies against the Axis and those that supported it. Interestingly, Japan was an ally in WW1 but was one of the enemy powers in the Axis in WW2.
