What is the vertex of the graph of y = |-x + 4| + 1? Thank you for the help in advance :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

vertex is at 4. you need the stuff inside the modulus to = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You just find the y intercept of y = -x+4 then add 1 (4,1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you plug in x = 4 and then y = 1 so its at (4,1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry I meant x intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you sooo much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That helped me a lot!
