So you can do this a few ways. You can write it out in matrix form and reduce it to echelon form, but that's too complex for such a simple linear equation with two variables. Easiest way to do it: rearrange one of the equations so one variable is the subject. Substitute that into the respective equation, and calculate. What do you see?

Note: I only stated the echelon form part because that might be what they're asking in the question. It depends what level of mathematics you're doing.
