(7x^4-2x^2-3x)+(x^4+2x^3+2x^2+3x-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Put the like terms together and add the coeffiencts. 7x^4 +x^4 -2x^3 +2x^2 +2x^2 +3x - 3x -2 So to start you would add 7x^4 + x^4 and get 8x^4...then continue to add like terms..Can you get the rest?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good. :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so when u simplify the rest wld it be 8x^4-2x^3+4x^2-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or am i wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is correct!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good job! :-)
