What does simple harmonic motion mean to you?
For part a) look at the top graph...the period means the time it takes for the graph to do one complete cycle and end back at the same point. How long does it take the first graph to get back to the same point it started at?

It looks to me that it goes from 6am to 12am...then it is back at the max...do you see that?
