What are some examples of positive and negative cause and effect people have on the environment.

negative.... Because people smoke, our ozone layer is thinning.
positive... because more animals are being put into more livable habitats, less are becoming extinct

Humans Litter and pollute our planet
Driving cars causes air pollution and acid rain , causing water pollution also
When dams are build they destroy natural habitats

Positive:

They put out forest fires that are caused by nature
They limit the animal population

positive:
humans have begun replanting trees in big cities, with towering sky scrapers, to allow for better air quality.

We have also developed ways to protect wildlife from extinction (but partly due to our exploitation of nature's resources)

negative:
deforestation is a big one. Companies carelessly cut down trees (that has taken years to grow to their size) for timber.

Increased use of electricity requires greater use of fossil fuels and other source of non-renewable energy which results in increased levels of pollution in the Earth's atmosphere (including carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide).

This air pollution then results in erosion of the Ozone layer, an essential part of the atmosphere which blocks out harmful UVB rays from the sun (which can cause unwanted sunburn and even skin cancer).

And there you have it. Of course, there are several other advantages and negatives.
