In an isosceles trapezoid, two angles are labeled as shown. What is the value of x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 28 but idk if thats right

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

well, these are vertically opposite angles, and in an isosceles trapezium they are supplementary, that is they add upto 180 degrees.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Opposite angles of an isosceles trapezoid are always supplementary. Does that help?

Parth (parthkohli):

first set an equation like this: \( \color{Black}{\Rightarrow 124 + (4x + 12) = 180 }\) this is the supplementary angle theorem.

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

so, (4x+12)+124=180 solve and find 'x'!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is it x = 11

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

am sorry, but 28 isn't correct. yes x=11 is CORRECT-O!!
