Am i right (: ? The diagonals of an isosceles trapezoid are labeled a and b. If the length of diagonal a is 8x + 2 inches and the length of diagonal b is 2x + 8 inches. What is the size of the diagonals?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got x = 1

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

yeah that is correct! but you need to find the length of the diagonal, so substitute 'x' in any one of the equation for its length, and calculate that!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh thank youu (: so its 11

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

11? :/ 8(1)+2 = 10 i think. seems okay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol whoops i added :)

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Np ;)
