For a summer fundraiser, Rob is doing manual labor to help several families do home improvement projects. He is tracking the amount of time he spends each week with a spreadsheet. If his spreadsheet shows that during the past two weeks, he spent a total of 7500 minutes working, how many days and hours has he worked?
I think they are asking you to convert minutes to day and hours. There are 60 minutes in a hour and 24 hours in a day.\[7500\text{ minutes }\times \frac{1\text{ hour}}{60\text{ minutes }}=?\]
5 days and 5 hours 7 days and 8 hours 5 days and 21 hours 7 days and 12 hours
Those are the multiple choice answers
Did you calculate the answer to the equation above? It will give you how many hours he worked. Then you can convert to how many days and hours.
Yes and I failed at it
Third. The answer was like 5.208.....something like that
Okay thanks
If you don't have a calculator, you can use this page to calculate 7500/60. http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=2^y%3D6
You would get 125 hours. 5 times 24 gives you 120 hours.
I got that but I don't no how to figure out the days
Yep, follow Pfenn step and you can solve this type of problems your whole life. The answer I gave you will last you for like one question only
you'll get something like 5.208.... the 5 is the days, the 20 odd something is the hours
