Ok so let us say that the original measurements of the rectangle are 2 by 5. Since we are concerned about the area, the area of this rectangle would be 10. Now, lets multiply the each original measurement by 5. Thus, the new measurements of the new rectangle would be 10 by 25. Let's multiply these two numbers together to get the new area and we obtain 250. So the original area was 10 and the new area is 250. We can see that the new area is 25 times greater. Ok lets get to the perimeter. So the original perimeter would be 14. The new perimeter would be 70. From this, we see that the new perimeter is 5 times the original one. Thus, the answer is : Its area becomes 25 times greater, and perimeter becomes 5 times greater.

its the 3rd answer e.g rectangle side lengths 1 and 2 P = 2 x 1 + 2x 2 p = 6 A = 2 5 times the size dimensions 5 and 10 P = 5 x 2 + 5 x 10 P = 30 A = 5 x 10 = 50 perimeter is 5 times are is 25 times
