A wrecking ball of mass M is suspended by a thin cable (of negligible mass). The ball's position is recorded by a flash camera three times at intervals of 95 ms. For each of the sequences illustrated below, the tension remains constant. Indicate whether the tension in the cable, T, is Greater than, Less than, or Equal to the weight of the ball, Mg, or whether one Cannot tell.
I guessed: Less than Equal Less than Greater than Equal to Cant tell Greater than equal cant tell
All your answer are correct! Gr8. The 2 remaining ones are looking like their paths are parabolas, aren't they? How is the acceleration directed with such trajectories?
I guess the one with a downward facing parabola would mean that the wrecking ball has greater acceleration
Yay i got it right- according to my online program. Thank you!
