Is it possible for an electron to reach the speed of light? Please explain?
ya i think.
if u go beyond classical mechanics. this is a question of thinking. very good:)
ooh ya, on that link there is an answer that says "Anything having mass can only be accelerated arbitrarily close to light speed, but can never reach it. Electrons have mass so one could never accelerate one to c without an infinite source of energy." ok, thanks I got the answer :p
yw:)
Hi beth, Acoording to the theory of relativity it can't Oh nice, that's the answer :) furthr more according to relativity not only mass cant cross the speed of light but any information also can't cross the speed of light (that is waves of all kind o r anything at all) this is the biggest and maybe only condradiction between quantom mechanics and relativity
ooh that makes allot of sense now, i was wondering why it would only not be possible for masses and would be for things without masses. Thanks :)
maybe it makes more sense, u can check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_entanglement http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EPR_paradox
ok, thank you, I really appreciate your time
ur wellcome, enjoy :)
