What was significant about the Neutrality Acts of 1935-37?

The Neutrality acts of 1935 were created to keep the United States out of war with countries who were in civil war or otherwise. These laws forbid the United States from providing any country in war with supplies such as soldiers, weapons, and loans.Roosevelt on the other hand, got around this by creating the Lend Lease Act, in which European countries could buy US made weapons if they came and got them, and shipped them back themselves.This is how Roosevelt got around the Neutrality Acts.
