OpenStudy (yash2651995):

if a negatively charged particle is projected in a space of magnetic feild... we replace that negative particle by a particle of equal charge but positively charged and on "opposite direction" to find deflection etc ..... what does this opposite direction mean.. a complete -v vector (if v vector was its inital velocity) ,... or -ve of v vector's component that is perpendicluar.. cuz due to magnetic force ony the velocity perpendicular to magnetic feild will be affected.. right? so taking -ve of parallel component would be right or wrong?

This is just making simple things more complicated.
