How do you become an OpenStudy moderator?
1) NEVER ASK TO BE MODERATOR <---very important rule 2) Be a very good HELPER 3) appeal to the public 4) have a very good sense of justice 5) you must have time for your loyal subjects 6) respect and suck up to the admins ;)
Oh, ok. I was just wondering exactly what a moderator was. I'm still kind of a noob here :P
i assume they *moderate* the site? lol
I didn't know number 1 was a rule...or number 6 either...you're very unique Sallote lol
all you have to do is help people and contribute your own questions. You make points and fans
And you have to get nominated!

We have to get a premium account

Psht. You can't tell me what to do. You're not my real dad.
touche -_- better get your real mom to marry me right away then
All right guys, please stop making stuff up in response to legitimate questions. You can play the fiction game in chat all you want, but when people ask questions, please give them straight answers.
@thechocoluver445, @lgbasallote had a decent answer. (1) isn't strictly a rule. (6) certainly isn't—we've been known to pick moderators that have had fairly minimal contact with the existing moderators, beyond incidental interactions on OpenStudy. The only good answer is: be a great member of the community, and let us know when you see things going awry. Then, if we feel like we need more moderators, we'll go for people we've noticed being awesome. As to what moderators do, they are tasked with dealing with abuse reports and generally trying to set the right direction for the community :)
@shadowfiend thanks, i was just curious :)
for the record... (6) was a joke :p nothing personal @shadowfiend lol
