Well, not part of your question, but you have a their/they're error. I would pluralize lifestyles, since in this context they don't share a common lifestyle.

"they're" is plural...so "lifestyles" should be plural as well... just giving my input :)

Plurality of objects is more difficult than just matching the object with the antecedent. A plural subject can have a collective object, e.g. The students in Mr. Smith's class went to their classroom. If the students all belong to one class, the object will be singular. 

On the other hand, if the members of the group being discussed possess independent things, the object can be plural. Therefore, if we wrote, "The students went to their homes," we pluralize the object because presumably each student has his or her own home.
