Modern human lifestyle depends on fossil fuels to generate electricity. Predict and explain the long term effect on the environment of obtaining and using fossil fuels

This question starts from a false premise. Modern human lifestyle depends on electricity. We can generate electricity from a variety of source but fossil fuels are the cheapest and most abundant. Assuming we keep getting our energy from fossil fuels the long term damage to the environment could be horrible BUT that assumes that none of the technologies we are working on to mitigate the damage of fossil fuel use are ever deployed and that we never figure out how to make more efficient use of the energy we already have.

In every light side there is a dark side, talking about the advantages of fossil fuel it have enough to offer the people. On the other hand, it is causing damage to the environment we live. Basically, it is causing pollution; burning any fossil fuel produce carbon dioxide, which cause green house effect. Burning fuel can be difficult and dangerous, strip mining destroy large area of landscape. It's cons can over weigh the pros.
