State at least two justifications for the use of scientific names and classifications of organisms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can give you one: It makes it easier to study organisms' properties, because organisms with the same properties are grouped together. Can you think of another?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hint: think about how many common names there can be for any one organism. In English alone, an osprey is also known as a sea hawk, fish eagle, or fish hawk. The German name is Fischadler, and in French, it's Balbuzard pêcheur. See how this can be a bit confusing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i see. its the advantages or the pros of scientific names aite? thanks! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Rather the advantages of classification.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay got it thanks again!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem.

Allows biology to be international and enable scientists from different culture to universally identify an organism. this is important especially since organisms have been translocated globally for food, medicine , and research source: from my lecture note.. haha
