Which of the following does not represent a function? x −12 −5 11 14 17 y −5 −2 −2 8 34 x −10 1 3 8 10 y −2 2 7 8 10 x 5 10 10 12 18 y 1 4 22 5 4 x 4 5 6 8 10 y 4 −4 12 −8 6

To test to see if an equation is a function we use the vertical line test which is simply a test that is done by drawing a vertical line anywhere on the graph of the function, if it is possible to draw a line vertically that passes the line of the function more than once the equation is not a function. A function |dw:1339346846782:dw| Not a function |dw:1339346910102:dw|

i really need help in this im not that good in math

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

Wow Copy drawing function isn't working for me anymore. Applying the vertical line test |dw:1339347050502:dw| No matter where I draw a line a vertical line on this graph it will only pass through the function once thus it confirms that it is a function Thus it passes the vertical line test |dw:1339347112437:dw| A vertical line can pass through this function more than once thus it is nto a function, it fails the vertical line test.
