some cells have several nuclei within their cytoplasm. Considering the events in a typical cell cycle, which phase of the cell cycle is not operating when cells form?

Telophase and cytokinesis, something went wrong there. Telophase is when there are two seperate nuclei, and cytokinesis is when they actually divide.
