solve each inequality, graph its solution set and write the solution set in interval notation. | x+7 | + 15> 12 . Do you get x> -10 and x< -34?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i don't think so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you start with \(|x+7|+15>12\) subtract 15 from both sides to get \(|x+7|>-3\) and then think "absolute values is always greater than or equal to zero, so it is alway greater than -3" and the solution is therefore all real number \(\mathbb{R}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so -10<x<-1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess i was not clear

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is always the case that \(|x+7|>-3\) so answer is all real numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any \(x\) you choose will work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay
