I'm on mymathlab right now, and I know the answer to the question; the problem is that I don't know the syntax in which mymathlab what the answer it says "the base and height of a triangle whose height is one more than twice its base" and in the answer section says " the base is__" it doesn't make sense, if h=(2x+1) and b=x; the answer is just x? It looks so good to be true.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Does it give you an area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope, it says "represent the given condition usen a single variable, x"

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

then yes, it's simply x

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I guess there's more to it down the road, but I think they just want you to get into the habit of declaring variables and such.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mmm, well that's what I thought; it is just waaay too easy; looks suspicious, I see now, thank you very much:D!

you're welcome
