Parth (parthkohli):

Annoying annoying. What if someone is repeatedly asking me to give a medal, and he/she doesn't deserve it? (by not deserving, I mean that the answer is copied from Yahoo Answers)

myininaya (myininaya):

Report it and it will be taken care of! :)

Parth (parthkohli):

Ok... now I have to scroll all the way up haha

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

is it the oh so infamouse yahoo answer copy-paster that so many of the old users and mods have grown to know oh so well?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

infamous*

Parth (parthkohli):

Nope nope.. not that one

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

hypothetical question...why do you even ask this lol? i mean are you bothered? you can just snub it

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

and @myininaya i dont believe asking for medals is against CoC? Was it updated?

Parth (parthkohli):

I mean that the guy is like mad at all of them and it ain't allowed on this site.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

like i said in the previous comment...asking for medals/fans isnt really against rules

Parth (parthkohli):

It isn't mentioned in the code but it still is an act not allowed in the community indirectly related to that 'keep the value of medals' section.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

actually....it's in the part of being creepy/annoying lol =)))) but it's a minor one

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

in my opinion it is not warning-worthy

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

maybe a stern talk is just

Parth (parthkohli):

Don't game the system! Keep medals and achievements valuable, so please avoid: Participating in "Medal Parties", which are questions specifically designed to inflate the medal count of the users who are participating. Creating multiple accounts, or colluding with friends to gain unearned medals or achievements. Artificially inflating your stats in any other way.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

or friendly talk..that's nicer

Parth (parthkohli):

"or colluding with friends to gain unearned medals or achievements."

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

"colluding" and "friends" arekeypoints ;)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

Collusion is an AGREEMENT between two or more persons

Parth (parthkohli):

What about 'unearned'? that one too :D

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

solved?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

like i said it's not against CoC..it's a fact that has been agreed upon by the members of Openstudy (well majority)...justrude and annoying

Parth (parthkohli):

They were like having a deal. The guy was asking for the medal and posting the link. The other guy was saying 'you answer my question first.'

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

oh..then that is against CoC

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

you said a person just asked you

Parth (parthkohli):

The other guy(...the one who asked that question) was posting the link repeatedly. This is again something against the CoC(the spamming section)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

you never mentioned these info o.O it is against CoC and should be reported...but like before...let us not discuss the details ;) i assume you're just asking for advice for the scenario so there you go..if two parties agreed to medals then it is to be reported HOWEVER...if someone just asks for a medal but no one agrees then that guy cannot be reported as he is just asking for a medal...this is actually a vague issue and as of now it is not *yeT* against CoC until someone agrees to do so

Parth (parthkohli):

The guy who was asking for the medals was then annoyed by me because I didn't medal him, so he gave me a medal for every question I answered and then immediately took it back.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

same goes for fans...actually if someone asks for fans..and someone does agree..i dont think that's anti CoC...note that this is my personal opinion...but if there were no agreements then it is DEFINITELY NOT against CoC

Parth (parthkohli):

I see. Let us continue the good work haha :)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

*medals myininaya*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I love arguments between you two. *popcorn* oh so good

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

@lgbasallote , try not to do the moderators' job for us. The entire point of the report abuse system is that we will ask for more details if we need them. ParthKoli doesn't need to explain himself to you, he only needs to explain himself to the moderators when he asks for their intervention. Moreover, he did say that there was spamming involved at the very beginning (via skillful use of the word “repeatedly”).

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

will do ^_^
