So, the 80% is 70% of your grade. here is a formula to guide the weighting:
$$0.70(80)+(0.30)(x)=T$$x is your grade on the projects, and T is your total grade. So if x=0, T=56, which is a 56%. I suggest you do the projects well. If you get 100% on both of them, you end up with an 86%.
