in a republic people are elected by the will of the people (for the people, by the people) brutus is unsure because ceasar is a friend and he will be murdering his friend for the powe and the will of the people was aklready given to him because they all find hime as a noble roman. on difference is the the brotherhood is stronger than a marriage.
