One solution of the equation 2x^2 - x - 10 = 0 is 5/2 . What is the other solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you could solve this using multiple meathods, one of them is using the quadratic equation \[(-(-1)\pm \sqrt{(-1)^2-4(2)(-10)})/2(2)\] if you simplify this, you get \[(1\pm \sqrt{(1)-(-80)})/4\] and this becomes \[(1\pm9)/4\] this is simplified to 10/4 or 5/2 and 8/4 or 2 so the other solution is 2

i apologize i was incorrect
